I'm Thomas Chevillotte, a designer from France living in Munich, Germany.
Over the years, I’ve developed my skills and capacity to create and improve things by removing everything superfluous. I believe that simplicity is the key to what people truly needs.
By working in a big company such as Loewe, I learned how to develop my team spirit, my communication skills and fight for my ideas. By working with people with multiple backgrounds and points of view, and by being ready to find alternatives solutions, I am able to put myself in someone else's shoes and push things further.
As a curious person, I always strive to diversify my knowledge, acquire new skills and discover new worlds.
How photography made me a better designer
As a passionate landscape photographer, I love to travel to remote places, discover new cultures and experience the wilderness. This urge to face both the unknown and the unexpected has brought me to many different locations (Alaska, Canada, Iceland, Sweden, Eastern Europe...) where I aim to tell stories through the compositions with my camera.
My curiousity, my will to improve myself and adapt quickly can also be observed in my work as a designer, where I pay attention to the details and try to overcome the problems I face.
Things I like
→ Road tripping, hiking, photographing, camping (I've been boy scout),
→ Eating turf-smoked salmon, old cheese and other fine food (I'm French),
→ Listening to Leonard Cohen, Orelsan, Jürgen Paape and sometimes the Spice Girls (no idea why...).
